Route and the item each gate needs

Start after the Prologue’s Noobador encounter.

  1. Caves → Roadtown

Defeat Supreme Ant at the cave exit. In Roadtown, talk to Mayor Monty for the Adventurer ID and show it at the toll booth.

  2. Snowy Thicket

Defeat Banished Knight, operate the cabin lever and use a Bomb for Spiky Killbot. Annihilator sells Bombs before that encounter.

  3. Mines → castle entrance

Find Dynamite near Accountant Jim. Use it to clear rubble and open the route into Blackrock Castle.

  4. Castle → Ice Dagger

Use 2605 for the prison code, collect the key and continue through the castle to Cruel King. Recover at the throne-room healing pad before approaching him.

After the chapter

Return to Shedletsky in the HQ Basement for the Ice Dagger / Sword Energy lesson. The optional Blackrock King rematch is a separate fight unlocked after this progression; it is not required for the original sword reward.
