How to Beat Fear in Block Tales

Keep a non-SP recovery option for Total Dismay. It Silences the party for two turns, so a Cure you could afford a moment earlier may be unusable.

Know when Silence is coming

The cycle is Shockwave → Apprehension → Call for Help → Total Dismay, with summons skipped when conditions prevent them. Spend a needed SP action before Silence, or preserve a usable item for that window.

Follow the wave and the growing orb

Shockwave travels along the ground toward the party for 8 damage. Apprehension grows a purple orb before firing a party-wide beam for 10. Watch the wave reaching you and the orb becoming a beam, rather than pressing at the start of either animation.

Expect the blackout during the summon

Call for Help darkens the screen and briefly stops the music while a Phobia appears. The blackout is part of the move. Reacquire the battlefield afterward and check the extra enemy before committing to a damage action.
